There is not much relevant information available out there regarding CompTIA certifications, and if present, is not complete. This causes difficulty for professionals to make relevant and informed decisions, this leads to a wrong decision at the initial stage about your certification.
You will be able to find 3 of CompTIA’s certification courses at the most basic level, that includes, CompTIA A+, CompTIA Security +, and CompTIA Network+.
You can take the CompTIA A+, Network+, and Security+ certifications in any order, they are not restricted to a particular vendor, that is the good thing about these three. Since all these three certifications are basic with equal complexity, neither one of these builds a base of knowledge for others. These courses only require a basic understanding of using computers.
The only question one needs to ask themselves is which one of these three CompTIA certifications works the best for them. There is no hard and fast rule, it depends on what works best for you. Once you are able to understand what each course has to offer you then you can make an educated decision. Rolla Academy, Dubai provides you the insight into all these courses.
The certification of CompTIA A+ is a perfect initiating point for people with zero experience in the IT industry. It provides a basic level of understanding of IT, software, and hardware, along with a better understanding of how to build a career in the profession of IT. An A+ certification will give you the knowledge and skills that are needed for setting up a computer network and troubleshooting any issues of networking.
Taking the CompTIA Network+ certification course proves to be helpful before taking the A+ course, for many students. Network+ is not as intensive a course as that A+ and is focused only on concepts of networking. In comparison with A+, it has a narrower scope than A+ and it is found more difficult for many students to develop multiple areas of knowledge at the same time.
The answer to this question lies in two contradictory places. The first one is one’s current set of experience in the IT sector and the second one is the path you want to take in terms of CompTIA certification as CompTIA’s certifications follow two different paths beyond these certifications of basic level i.e. the network and the path of cybersecurity.
So if one wants to go with cybersecurity, one can definitely skip the certification of Network+ and just choose the A+ and Security+ and continue onwards from there.
If a person wants to go down the network path, then he must do Network+ certification.
A+ certification serves as a precursor for the ones who don’t have much experience in the IT industry to the technologies and systems involved in their work roles. On the other hand, Network+ is best for individuals who are working in mid-level positions.
One also needs to keep in mind that the A+ certification is not a pre-requisite for Network+ and for Security+ also, so even if a person wants to skip it, it will not have any effect on your chances of getting enrolled in the certifications of advanced level by CompTIA.
A resume with both A+ and Network+ makes a positive impression on the person hiring. It gives them the idea that you are focused on building your career. The more certification you have on your resume, the more ambitious you will look. Anyone CompTIA certification can be chosen without any prior one, they are enough in themselves to prove your understanding of the concepts and skills of networking.
